Our Associates
|
Because the Sisters’ mission is to share hope and build a world together with others in which that shared hope can grow, others are invited to become Associates and join in that mission. Becoming an Associate is another way one may belong to the community. From the very beginning of their French history, the Sisters have relied upon and embraced other religious affiliations. It is this alliance that has allowed the work of the Sisters to flourish and endure through the centuries. An Associate is a man or woman of Christian faith who desires to share in the community's spirituality, its ideals and goals, and in the challenges of responding to the changing needs of the Church. Associates do not profess canonical vows, undertake no binding financial to the sisters or legal commitments and continue to live the lifestyle to which they have been called by God. Many are seeking to meet challenges of the gospel message and to experience more fully the spirit and community life of the Church. Community life, however, is always in the process of becoming. It is a search for life-giving spiritual meaning allowing individuals to share their deepest feelings, hopes and fears. |
